This Saturday I decided to go all-touristy and embark on Lisbon’s tram 28, winding up and down the hills of the city.

Despite being a Lisboeta for the last two decades, this was my first time ever on a vintage yellow tram.

Bom caminho!

Even if you don’t speak the language of Camões, the expression above is something that will come in handy if you decide to walk the Portuguese Caminhos de Santiago. Along your way you’ll come across many pilgrims walking their way to Santiago and even if you don’t feel like socialising at the moment, a simple “Bom caminho!” goes a long way. 🙂

I gotta say, going alone was one of the best decisions ever! I purposely wrote it in italic to convey the idea that I was actually not alone. Yeah, it sounds cliché but it is true.
